Sideways leg lifts
Using a wall for support, adopt the position pictured, raise one leg out to the side and lower it again.
Repeat 8 times, then switch legs.
This tones your buttocks.

I had the flat to myself this evening, which was good because it meant I could do the exercise in my lounge and had more room to manoeuvre.
After yesterday’s slightly uninspiring day with the stair climbing, today’s leg lifts left me feeling like I’d achieved something. If this exercise does what it’s supposed to, I think I’ll carry it on beyond the end of January as it’ll hopefully help me tone-up before summer.
It also goes to show that you don’t need any fancy equipment to do some toning exercises – all I needed was a wall so I didn’t fall over!
