Breathe deep
Adopt the position pictured.
Breathe in deeply through your nose, hold for a count of five and then breathe out.
Repeat 3 times every couple of hours.

As a recent ex-smoker this seemed like a good one to test my improved lung capacity. I could feel the deep breaths stretching the muscles across the front of my chest and filling my lungs with far more air than usual.
It was funny how after I’d done this a couple of times I became more aware of how I was breathing in general. Now and then I’d notice that I wasn’t breathing deeply and that would remind me to do the breathing exercises again.
